"Where there is a woman, there is magic ", words that trickled from of the lips of our great literary foremother, Ntozake Shange.
Today is international women 's day and as I reflected on all of the women who light up my life, I can 't help but acknowledge this:
Every woman who has ever crossed my path has been a mirror , reflecting back to me pieces of myself that are familiar or maybe unbeknownst to me. More times than not, there has been an unrevealed magic that tethered us together.
At the end of 2020, one of my friends challenged me to celebrate myself with the same fervor that I uplift my biggest inspirations. Further explaining that the aspects of others that we admire, are often qualities we possess but maybe haven't tapped in to yet.
When we embrace the magic that lies within us, we encourage others to do the same.
What do I define as magic?
How is magic happening around me on a daily basis?
When is magic invoked inside of me?
These are some questions I'm asking myself, and invite you to do the same.
With spring being amongst us i felt inspired to get dressed and do a lil makeup look. I've been in love with the smoky brown makeup look of the 90s for ages now.
This look was a warm variation of that. The skin is. kept very neutral, no blush and bronzer to shape the face. I slowly am building my makeup skills back up. Very proud of this slight full face. I decided not to do lashes to keep it very effortless.

The blouse is honestly my favorite thing about this look. The shoulders and neckline are so sassy! This look was gifted from Nanushka 's Resort 2021 collection. I love the earth tones from this range. The buttery yellow of this blouse perfectly compliments the white sand tint of the skirt. It's giving bossy and she means business! Honestly, that's my energy for Spring! How about y'all?
