Skin is In! A Guide to the Perfect Summer Skincare Routine

Popping skin is a major key this summer. One of the biggest makeup trends this season is a natural looking no-makeup makeup look. I always say that skin is the #1 step to any beautiful makeup look. Here are a guide of summer's must-have skincare products, from drug-store to high end.

A good cleanser is key. In the Summer skin produces tones of sweat, which creates dirt and buildup in the skin. A really fresh and gentle cleanser is my #1 step! $38

2. 100% Raw Shea Butter

Hands down best moisturizer. I like to use this all over my body for a thick moisture that stays all day. It's 100% natural too which is always a plus.

3. Body Brush

Flawless and fresh skin requires more than just washing. I use a sturdy body brush a few times a week to exfoliate any dead skin, and also to really make sure I'm getting rid of any old dirt and grit from being outdoors. Find at any local drugstore, $3-$9.

Any good skincare routine has a mask somewhere. My favorite this season has been this Enzyme Revitalizing mask from Mario Badescu. It is geared towards dry/combo skin, and I do have dry skin so this is perfect. I find that it leaves my skin rejuvenated and less lackluster! $20

Get into this glowwww! I first tried this body highlight last summer, and I've been in love since. It is a cheaper alternative to Tom Ford and NARS, at only $26.!

Perfect your pout with this $6 lip salve! A personal favorite. The smell + result = LIFE!

This newly launched SPF 35 sunscreen is meant for daily use this summer. While I have yet to try it, I decided to add it to the list because SPF is a must for summer, and pretty much year around. I tend to slack off on the SPF, but I'm excited to pick it up this Summer and hopefully his one is a keeper.

8. Pumice Stone

Sometimes I think we forget to look down! Our feet need tons of TLC since we'll have them out in sandals and mules this Summer. I know I can't always make my pedicure appointment due to time and/or budget. Using a pumice stone and an exfoliant or cleanser in the shower will keep dead skin at bay and your feet on fleek. I got mine at Dollar Tree for $1!

A multi-use hydrating face mist. I like to use this as a moisturizer, setting spray, and cool-down spray. I typically spray it on before my real moisturizer, and throughout the day for a makeup refresher. This can be used on bare-skin and on top of a beat face! $7-15
